I would like to thank all of those that have supported my efforts in trying to get a vicious dog ordinance passed in Panola County.

I met with the board of Supervisors on October 13th and presented the police reports and the petition that I had passed around for people to sign. My husband and I both went to the meeting and presented the information to the supervisors and were told that they would take the issue into consideration and check with neighboring counties and the state to see about how to proceed with the issue.

I have recently been made aware of the fact that they have contacted other counties and are in the process of looking at their vicious dog ordinances. I was told that the board would get with the sheriff’s department and would see about getting this adopted and in place.

Again I just wanted to thank all of you that have supported this issue with me and to let you know that it is in process and with all luck it will be adopted soon.
