July 22-26

Revival will be held Monday through Friday (July 22-26) at Mt. Zion M. B. Church, Batesville, at 7 nightly. Rev. Basil Brooks of Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church, Cordova, will be the guest speaker.

Bethany Baptist Church, corner of Hubbard and Eureka Streets in Courtland, will holding its annual Bible School  for area children.  Ages 5 thru teens will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, singing, refreshments, puppet shows and other activities from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The theme this year is Giddyup Junction and will feature  lessons teaching God’s love and guidance for all people.

July 24-26

The Truth Church will host a free Youth Choir Workshop at 6 p.m. nightly. The Workshop Concert will be July 27 at 6 p.m. Contact Min. Victor McDowell, Jr. at 934-9510 with number of attendees from each church. All youth are invited. V.L. McDowell is church pastor.

July 25

The Truth Church will host a Back-to-School bash and backpack giveaway from noon to 3 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to enjoy good food and fun. Pastor is V.L. McDowell.

July 26

First Baptist Church, Batesville will host the National Explorer’s Bible Study Conference from noon Friday until noon Saturday. Registration will start at 11 a.m. Friday. Registration forms are available at Explorers Bible Study website, www.explorersbiblestudy.org. You may fill out the form or call 1(615) 446-7316 to register. Local teacher and author Marni McKenzie will be one of the keynote speakers.

July 27

Homecoming at Shiloh C.M.E. Church on Ballentine Road, 10 miles west of Sardis, will be celebrated with a picnic on the church lawn, from noon to 6 p.m. Regular homecoming service will be held Sunday, July 28 at 10 a.m.
