The North Delta Junior High track teams both claimed fourth place in the district 1-AAA meet Wednesday at Clarksdale Lee Academy.

In the boys division, Lawson Wolfe won the discus with a throw of 101’2” while Aiden Sykes finished second in the shot put with a 37’4’’ throw.

Grayson Alford won the 1600 meters with a time of 5:55 and finished in fifth place in the 800 meter run.

Layton Wells and Nolan Long garnered fourth and sixth place in the 100 meters while the boys finished runner up in both the 4×400 and 4×800 relays.

On the girls side, Shelby Boone claimed first place in the high jump, fifth in the long jump and claimed a fourth place finish in the 100 meters.

Breck Brewer took home first place in the shot put and second in the discus.

Sadie Gray and Annie Finke finished fourth and sixth in the 1600 meters. The girls relay teams finished second in the 4×200, 400 and 800 meter relays.
