The North Delta Lady Green Wave advanced to  the MAIS AAA State tournament  with a 78-58 thumping of Starkville Academy in the consolation game of the North AAA tournament Saturday at Heritage Academy.

The Lady Green Wave will take on Central Hinds Academy tomorrow in a 4 p.m tipoff at Leake Academy in Madden.

After dropping a 43-33 semi-final round game Friday to Winston Academy, North Delta (21-10) broke open a close contest with the Lady Volunteers at halftime to win going away.

Ally Alford paced the Lady Wave with 24 points while Breck Brewer added 14. Shelby Grace Boone, Faith Bollinger and Hannah Bollinger all registered nine points each.

Libby Miller chipped in with six while Isabella Morrow and Eliza Morris finished with five and two points.
