The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday, Feb.13 with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.
Jessie Alred, 444 Leamaster Rd., Sardis, had a charge of disturbing the peace dismissed.
Juanita Webb, 107 Warner St., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to discharging a firearm in the city limits.
Peria Jerry, 1200 Cotton Plant Rd., Batesville, had a simple assault charge missed due to lack of prosecution, but was found guilty of failure to comply, reckless driving and failure to yield to the right of way and fined $1,018. He plans to appeal.
Chelsea L. Rayford, 3973 Curtis-Locke Station Rd., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to simple possession of marijuana and no tag. A March 6 trial date was set.
James E. Wright, Jr. 206 Jones Rd Ext., Batesville, had charges of no insurance and improper equipment remained to the files, but pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle and no drivers license and was fined $989.
Braddrecus D.Suggs, 58 Otto Sanford Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana in a vehicle and was fined $683.
Dametras Williams, 116 Ozbirn St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence-simple assault and was fined $417
Daltrice Rudd, 116 Ozbirn, St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence-simple assault and was fined $417
Dameon C. Sanford, 207 Gordon St., Batesville, pleaded no contest to simple assault by threat, but pleaded guilty to DUI and careless driving and was fined $944
Kaneshia R. Wright, 381 O.B. McClinton Rd., Senatobia, pleaded guilty to DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and no proof of insurance and was fined $1,493.
Casey Lukas, 9840 Eureka Rd., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to DUI-refusal and improper equipment.
Antonio L. Berry, 204 D. Lester St., Batesville, was found guilty of non-payment of old fines totaling $1,067
Tyrevous A. Harris, 113 Field St., Batesville, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines.
Jason Morgan, 1723 Sanders Rd., Sardis, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines.
Antravious Poole, 155 MLK Apt.7, Batesville, was charged with non-payment of old fines totaling $1,396.
April D. Taylor, 401 Farrish Gravel Rd.,Batesville, pleaded guilty to an expired tag and non-payment of old fines all totaling $987
Jamarlin Ladd, 1105 B.Hawkins Rd., Courtland, was charged with non-payment of old fines totaling $2,870
Haley McCollum, 2518 Belmont Rd.,Sardis, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines.
Emily B. Brasher, 183 Linker St., Batesville, had charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia bound over to the Grand Jury.
Robert Porter, Jr. 5211 Nash Rd., Batesville, had a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance bound over to the Grand Jury.
Clinton Winters, 3004 Marks Rd., Marks, had a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent bound over to the Grand Jury.
Dominique Patterson, 318 Panola Ave., Batesville, had charges of simple assault on a officer and disorderly conduct bound over to the Grand Jury.
In cases set for trial:
Haley D. Potts,2061 Bell Rd, Courtland, was found guilty of shoplifting and pleaded guilty to trespassing and possession of paraphernalia and was fined $800.
