Linda Floyd

Linda Floyd, 73, died Dec. 5, 2018, at her home in Pope.

Funeral arrangements will be posted by Wells Funeral Home.

Lisa Gay, 51, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, in Byhalia.  A memorial service was held Wednesday (Dec. 5) at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford with Rev. Sammy Gossett officiating.

Gay was born in Houston, Tex.  She was a home health nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Gay, IV, of Batesville, MS; her father, John R. Lowth of Batesville; a son, Tucker B. (Anne Little) Burchett of Ripley; a daughter, Terria D. (Dustin) McMinn of Oxford; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cass Raimer; and one son, Tuley G. Burchett.

Funeral services for Beverly Ann Harrell, 54, will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at Gospel Temple COGIC in Senatobia with interment at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is today (Dec. 7) at from 4 to 7 p.m. at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia.

She died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bennie Tansley.

Funeral services for Linda Faye Miles Hill, 60, will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m.  at the Batesville Jr. High School auditorium with Rev. Jerome Battle officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Courtland under the direction of Hughes & Sons Funeral Home.

She died Nov. 29, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was the wife of David Hill.

Michael Paul McCullar,  35, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at his home in Sardis.

Funeral services will be today (Dec. 7) at 11 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw.

McCullar was born March 13, 1983, to John Mark McCullar and the late Laura Ann Yancey in Batesville. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Rayburn McCullar and three children.

He worked at Kizer Flooring in Batesville.

Funeral services for Ida Mae Porter, 81, will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at Howard Chapel C.M.E. Church in Como at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She died Dec. 4, 2018, at her home in Como. Visitation is scheduled for today (Dec. 7) at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia from noon to 4 p.m.

Funeral services for James Edward Rudd, 65, will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Willie D. Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Church Cemetery.

Rudd died Nov. 29, 2018, at his home in Batesville. Visitation will be today (Dec. 7) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

He was born Jan. 27, 1953, in Batesville to Cass Holmes and Dorothy Bradford. He was a retired plumber.

Mrs. Margaret Jane Trammel Tisdale, 93, passed away on Dec. 3, 2018, at Diversicare in Batesville.  She was born in White Hall, AR on Feb. 2, 1925, to Mary Matilda Trammel and John Wesley Trammel.

She was a member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA. and was retired from Motorola, Inc.  Mrs. Tisdale loved to fish, garden and cook. Her garden was always beautiful and bountiful, and it thrilled her to share her beautiful flowers with friends and family. She will be remembered as a great cook, doting grandmother and a kind and loving friend.

Mrs. Tisdale is survived by her loving family, which includes two daughters, Frankie Mullen (Robert) from Belzoni, and Brenda Boyett, from Sardis; one son, Homer Briggs, Jr. (Jean) of Batesville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sardis.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Emmanuel Baptist Church. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
