Culley Wayne Allen

SARDIS–Culley Wayne Allen, 81, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Sardis Community Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Blackjack Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sardis. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Allen was a retired mechanic.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan Allen Wright of Sardis, Brenda Allen Habedank of Willmar, Minn. and Lisa Allen Sanford of Batesville; two sons, Billy Wayne Allen of Potts Camp and Steve Allen of Senatobia; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Louise Brown Ford

BATESVILLE – Louise Brown Ford, 96, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Senatobia Convalescent Center.

Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Legge and Rev. Lester Tankersley will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at Wells Funeral Home. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Ford, born April 25, 1912, to the late Willie Marshall Brown and Jennie Bell Smith, was a member of Enid Lake Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Roy “Buster” Ford.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mae Bell Ford Ragon and husband, Melvin of Courtland; one son, Willie Euel Ford and wife, Sarah of Coldwater; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.


Noah Ray Millner Sr.

BATESVILLE – Noah Ray Millner Sr., 70, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Golden Living Center.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Visitation  will be 10 a.m. that day until service time at the funeral home. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Millner, born June 22, 1938, to Raymond Brundell Millner and Monnie Melvina Rogers in Scottshill, Tenn., was a retired business owner and salesman. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Bumgardner Millner.

Survivors include three sons, Noah Ray Millner of Horn Lake, Kirk Jay Millner and Branden Dean Millner, both of Southaven; one sister, Dianne Millner Andrews of Vicksburg; one half brother, Joe Baird of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
