A Batesville store has been cited by the Mississippi Department of Health after a routine inspection on Oct. 5.

Panola One Stop, located at 309 Panola Ave., received a grade of C following the inspection. The store was judged to be in compliance with all but one line item on the standard grading sheet used by the Department of Health.

The inspections detail worksheet posted on the department’s website indicates the business was deemed “not in compliance” for the line item “insects, rodents, and animals not present” but gives no explanation of exactly what the inspector observed on the official visit.

The website chart shows that Panola One Stop has been inspected 12 times since July, 2013, and had received 10 A grades through February, 2017. The store received a grade of B following an inspection in February of this year, although the on-line chart doesn’t include an explanation of that score.

The second inspection of the year for the business was this month when the C was assigned.
