Barbara Young Jernigan
Shuqualak – Barbara Ann Young Jernigan, 82, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral Services were held Saturday; August 18, at Shuqualak Baptist Church. Interment followed at the Shuqualak Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon was entrusted with final arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Aubry C. Jernigan; one daughter: Allison Jernigan Newell (Jeff) of Meridian; two sons: Doug Jernigan (Joyce) of Meridian and Mike Jernigan (Dianna) of Sardis; one sister: Phyllis Gail Prince (Jimmy) of Philadelphia, MS; and eight grandchildren: Jake Newell, Anna Leigh Newell, Casey Newell, Brooks Newell, Katie Gunter, Haley Gunter, Joseph Jernigan and Chloe Jernigan.
Mrs. Jernigan is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Aubry C. Jernigan Jr. and two grandchildren: Jessica Corrine Jernigan and Terry Michael “T.J.” Jernigan Jr.
Russ LeMaster
ARLINGTON, Tenn. – Russ LeMaster, 54, passed away August 14, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David LeMaster; his niece, Ashley Marie Collins, grandparents Clarence and Ruth Lemaster and his aunt Julia “Sissy” Lemaster Carpenter from Batesville.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Pam LeMaster; his mother, Barbara Baucum; his sister, Susan Garner; his niece, Nicole Collins; his mother in law, Adelia Maneval; his step-mother, Grace LeMaster; his sister in law, Karen Hinrichs; his brother in laws, Terry, Tim, and Scott Maneval; and his two kitty cats, Barney and Ellie.
The family had a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 18 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the Donate Life.
He was a 1983 graduate of South Panola.
Dianna Gale Roberts
BATESVILLE – Dianna Gale Roberts, 74, died at Panola Medical Center, August 16, 2018. She was the widow of Jackie Lee Roberts.
Dianna was born October 29, 1943 in Memphis. She was a homemaker during her life time. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Faith Baptist Church.
The family will hold a memorial service for Dianna at a later date. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville has charge.
Walter Dewaine Snyder
Horn Lake – Walter Dewaine Snyder, age 78, passed away, August 19, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services for Snyder will be Wednesday, August 22, at 11 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, followed by a graveside service at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Pope. The family will be receiving friends and family on Tuesday evening August 21 from 6-8 p.m.
Walter was born June 13, 1940 in Pope, to the late Walter Robert Snyder and Lillian Ford Snyder. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn. and was the owner of D & D Iron Works in Horn Lake. Walter was also a self-contractor for Action Iron in Memphis.
