Date, rules announced for Batesville Christmas Parade

The theme for the 2017 Batesville Christmas Parade scheduled for December 5 is “Christ in Christmas Goes Hand in Hand,” parade coordinator Mark Shields has announced.
Registration forms can be obtained by calling Shields at 662-934-2973; Jeff Tankerlsey at 662-934-2973 or Alan Anthony at 662-561-2973. Enid Lake Baptist Church is sponsoring this year’s parade.
The forms stress the theme and request information about the length of the vehicle and float for parade position planning. The forms also ask whether the parade entry will play music. Other rules include “No Happy Holiday Signs” and “no vulgar or obscene music played and danced to during this parade.” Parade rules also allow only one Santa. He will be at the end of the parade.
