Nix and Cockrell at Miss Mississippi

- Panola Countians Charley Ann Nix (left) and Emily Cockrell were contestants in the Miss Mississippi Pageant in Vicksburg last week. Nix was a top ten finalist. Both had won preliminary pageants earlier to advance to the state pageant. Nix is from Batesville and Cockrell is from Como.
