Horace “Keith” Alexander
MARTINEZ, Ga.- Mr. Horace “Keith” Alexander, 61, formerly of Batesville, died Monday April 23, 2007, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Services were Thursday, April 26, 2007, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Hartman and Rev. Ed Floyd officiating.  Curtis Funeral Home had charge.
Alexander, born February 24, 1946, to the late Horace H. Alexander and the late Lola Oliver Alexander  was a retired U. S. Army Veteran serving numerous tours of duty in foreign countries, including Vietnam, Korea, and Germany, and here in the U.S. at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, and Ft. Carson, Colorado.  He was a 22-year veteran, retiring in 1986 with the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8).  He was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church.  
Survivors include: his wife, Jeannette Long Alexander of Martinez, Ga.; one son, Clint Alexander of Batesville;  one daughter, Denise Alexander of Atlanta; one stepson, W. Lyle Usry of Lithonia, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Jane Wheelbarber of Springfield, Mo.; stepmother, Clare Alexander of Batesville; one sister, Carol Bland of Pope; one stepsister, Kay  Riales of Southaven; brother, Lynn Alexander of Taylor; one sister, Ann Dees of Como; one stepsister, Nancy Tubbs of Batesville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marie Craig Bolen
CHARLESTON––Marie Craig Bolen, 82, died Saturday,  April 28, 2007.
Services were Monday at Springhill Baptist Church in Oakland. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery. Newsom Funeral Home had charge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. William Bolen.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kaye Crothers of Nashville and Gayle Lackey of West Memphis, Ark.; one son, Bruce Bolen of Batesville; two sisters, Betty Coggins of Dubach, La. and Gwyenn Bye of Starkville and two grandchildren.

Walter Guy Burkhalter Sr.
ENID––Walter Guy Burkhalter Sr., 83, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
Services were Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Enid-Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Clay Baker officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Burkhalter,  born Oct. 9, 1923 to  the late Guy William and the late Gladys Johnson Burkhalter,  was a member of Enid Union Church, veteran of WWII, a recipient of two purple hearts and the bronze star. Avid Tennessee Walking Horse owner and promoter and hunter. He was also a farmer and cattleman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Snow Burkhalter.
Survivors include: two daughters: Kathy Roberson of Enid and Betty Sue Gregg of Batesville; two sons, Walter Guy Burkhalter Jr. of Indianola and James W. “Jimbo” Burkhalter of Enid; one sister, Betty Smith of New Albany and eight grandchildren

Lloyd W. Gill
SARDIS––Lloyd W. Gill, 88, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at his residence.
Services were Monday at Moore-Nowell Funeral Home.  Rev. Robert Hickey officiated. Burial was in Cold Springs Cemetery. Moore-Nowell Funeral Home had charge.
Gill, born Jan. 23, 1919,  to the late Willis and Lilly Christofferson Gill, attended Cold Springs Methodist Church and was a veteran of WWII. He was also a pipeline worker overseas.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Waldrop.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Scruggs Gill of Sardis and two grandchildren.

Robert James Seay
 Robert James Seay, 96, a retired lineman from Tennessee Gas Pipeline, died  Sunday, April 29, 2007 at his residence.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Dickins Chapel. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
Seay, born July 16, 1910, to the late Robert Cleveland Seay and the late Audrey Ethel McMinn Seay, was a member of Eureka Methodist Church and trustee of the Church.
 He was preceded in death by  his wife Addie Lee Seay, brothers Russell and Ernest Seay and sisters, Mae Ragon, Willie McMinn, Lima Campbell and Hazel Foppiano.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Lee Seay of Batesville; one daughter, Lou Neil Morris of Batesville, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Lee Stevenson
SARDIS––Jimmy Lee Stevenson, 65, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Services are Friday at 1 p.m. at Springhill ASA Church in Courtland. Louis Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Springhill ASA Cemetery. Visitation will be  Friday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.  at Delta Burial Funeral Home  in Marks. Delta Burial Funeral Home has charge.
Stevenson, born April 1, 1942, to the late Annie Lee Stevenson, was a farmer.
Survivors include: four sons, James Lewis Fox of Gulfport, Charles Edward Fox of Sardis, David Earl Fox of Bryan, Texas and Steve B. Fox of Batesville and five daughters, Annie Joiner of Oxford, Betty Stevenson and Donna Faye Stevenson, both of Sardis, Tammy Jean Stevenson of Minneapolis, Minn. and Sandra Stevenson of Batesville.
