Miss. Bowl to kick off this weekend at 2 p.m.

The ninth Mississippi Bowl will be played at A.L. May Memorial Stadium on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College campus in Perkinston. The third-ranked EMCC Lions (10-1) will take on No. 13 Kilgore College (6-4) out of Texas. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased through the game’s website, MississippiBowl.com. Tickets are $10 for adult and $7 for students. A limited number of chairback tickets in the home grandstand are available for $20.
East Mississippi won the MACJC championship by defeating No. 5 Northwest 38-30 last weekend.
East Mississippi features three players from Panola County: Ryan Lee, Justin Corner and Demetrius Gleaton.
Meanwhile, Northwest will play in the 2016 C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl, marking the school’s 11th all-time bowl appearance and third in the last five years.
Northwest (9-2) will face Trinity Valley (10-1) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Bulldawg Stadium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app.
Players from Panola County on the Northwest team include Turner Rotenberry, Cole Rotenberry, Darius Thomas and Matt Davis.
