James M. Osbarn, 85

James M. Osbarn, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the North MS Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Sardis.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
James was born on Feb. 22, 1939 to the late William Henry Osbarn and Myrtle Kendall Osbarn in Charleston. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. James was a hard worker; he was an electrician for most of his life and was recently retired from the Thermos Company in Batesville. When James was not working, he enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He also attended the First Baptist Church of Sardis. James will be remembered by his kindness and always having a helping hand.
The family he leaves behind includes his wife, Delores “Dee” Osbarn of Sardis; two step-sons, Rick Neth (Beth) of Batesville, and Royce Neth of Sardis; a daughter-n-law, Pam Osbarn of Alabama; one granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Stevens of Water Valley, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two children, James Alan Osbarn and Cynthia Lynn Osbarn; and his siblings, Maurine Osbarn Winters, Deloris Osbarn Winters, Juanita Osbarn Hughes; William Henry Osbarn, Jr., Grady Osbarn, Bobby Osbarn, and Helen Osbarn Mauley.
