Carolyn R. Steinwinder, age 95, passed away at her home near Pope on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. She was the widow of Jimmy Steinwinder.

Funeral services for Carolyn were held on Friday, Feb. 10, at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. Interment was held at Oak View Memorial Park in Alamo, TN.

Carolyn was born Oct. 15, 1927 to the late William J. Privett and Carrie Pearson Privett in Crockett County, TN. Carolyn was a bookkeeper during her lifetime. She was a member of Enid Lake Baptist Church. in her spare time she enjoyed sewing and square dancing.

She loved to garden and was particularly fond of growing African Violets, which any one who gardens knows is no easy task. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and her Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband Jimmy, Carolyn was preceded in death by one son, Andy Tennson and one sister, Jean Hutchison.

Carolyn leaves behind one daughter, Cindy Griffin of Pope; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who will miss her greatly.
