Barbara Ann “Sissy” Swindle, 53, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 16, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family received friends prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m.

Sissy was born Nov. 4, 1968, in Louisiana to Lonnie Ray McClenic and the late Barbara Gale McClenic. She was an accountant for the J.D. Williams Library at The University of Mississippi and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

Sissy enjoyed the outdoors while fishing and working in her flower garden. Some of her greatest times were playing games with her dad and Bingo with her mom. Sissy’s greatest love was her family and especially her grandkids, where she never missed one of their events.

Her loving spirit will be missed most by her family, which includes her husband, Mike Swindle of Batesville; two sons, Nick Swindle of Pontotoc, and Payton Swindle of Ft. Stewart, GA; two daughters, Amber Swindle of Oxford, and Alyssa Swindle of Batesville; her father, Lonnie Ray McClenic of Courtland; a brother, Lonnie Ray McClenic, Jr. of Courtland; and 10 grandchildren.
