Billie Brewer Johnson,  59, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home near Batesville.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14,  at New Hope Church of God in Batesville with the interment to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Pope. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 13,  at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.

Billie was born October 24, 1962 in Panola County to the late Marvin W. and Martha Jane Downs Brewer. She was an LPN and member of New Hope Church of God where she sang with the worship leaders. Billie was always taking care of others before herself. She was a very athletic person, and in her younger years, Billie enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Most of all, Billie received the greatest joy in spending as much time with her five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billie’s caring and loving memory will be remembered most by her husband, Michael Johnson of Batesville; daughter, Sara Jane Gammill (Chantz) of Pope; son, Wes Brewer (Dana) of Crenshaw; two sisters, Sid Brewer File of Pope, Jessie Carol Wright (Craig) of Tupelo; two brothers, Danny Brewer and Jerry Brewer both of Courtland; five grandchildren, Ava Brewer, Carlea Brewer, Mac Brewer, John Bell and Emersyn Gammill.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings, Kathryn Wright, Jane Brewer, and Barry Brewer.
