Joe Nell Berryhill,  89, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Ms. Berryhill was the widow of the Ralph Berryhill.

Funeral services  will be held  1 p.m.  Tuesday, Aug. 24,  at First Baptist Church of Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton. Due to the recent COVID outbreaks, the family ask for those attending services to please wear a mask.

Joe Nell was born Nov. 20, 1931, to the late Herbert Carlton and Estelle Carlisle in Amory. She worked for the South Panola School District while taking care of her children Bobby and Brenda at her home. Joe Nell was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville.

The loving family she leaves behind to cherish her memory includes her son, Bobby Berryhill (Libby) of Jackson; 5 granddaughters; Bonnie Tyrone (Blaine) of Hattiesburg, Jennifer Berryhill of Jackson, Leslie Berryhill of New Orleans, Ellen Messer (Winston) of Atlanta, and Angela Stephenson (Logan) of Mobile, AL., 2 great grand-daughters, Reese Tyrone, and Stella Tyrone of Hattiesburg; and 2 great-grandsons, Titus and Fisher Stephenson of Mobile, AL.

In addition to her parents and husband Ralph, Ms. Berryhill was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Johnson.
