With last weekend’s postponement due to impending rain that never materialized, the J.P. Hudson Dizzy Dean Bash will be played this weekend, only with fewer teams.
Due to previous obligations to other baseball tournaments held this weekend, only two age groups, none involving Batesville All-Star teams, will participate. However,19 teams in four softball divisions will take part.
In the 8-and-under group, Batesville will take on Clarksdale at 5:30 p.m. today and Marshall County Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
The Batesville 6-and-under team will play at 6:30 p.m. today and also at 9 a.m Saturday.
Batesville’s 10-and-under squad plays at 5:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. today. The six and ten-year old championship games will be played tomorrow night while the 8-and-under division concludes Sunday afternoon.
