ND rallies to beat Strayhorn

North Delta rallied for six runs in the final two innings to slip past Strayhorn 7-3 in a non-scheduled game Thursday at Strayhorn.
The Green Wave trailed 2-1 before scoring plating three runs on two hits and a pair of walks in the fifth inning. The Mustangs answered with a run in the bottom half of the frame to close the margin to 4-3.
The score remained that way until the seventh when North Delta padded its lead with three runs. Luke Noah paced the Green Wave offensively with a single and double.
Drake Barton, Lige Simmerman, Brandon Henson and Ian Cole delivered singles. Henson crossed the plate three times in the winning effort.
Zach Dugger picked up the pitching win by going five innings with Noah earning the save.
North Delta (6-11) played at Bayou Academy Monday and will host the same Colts today in a varsity double header beginning at 4 p.m
