GetWell to open in Batesville soon

Following the closure of Fred’s Pharmcy in November, Batesville pharmacists Jenny Sullivant, R.Ph and Rebekah Gray, R.Ph, will soon fill prescriptions and help their patrons at the all new GetWell Pharmacy which will open at 407 Highway 6 East this month.

“Our customers are friends who have depended upon us for years,” Sullivant said. “Now we can continue serving them at GetWell Pharmacy. Taking care of our community in this way is our highest calling.”

In addition to filling prescriptions, GetWell will offer a wide-range of services including free delivery, curb-side service, medication therapy management, Medicare Part D counseling, immunizations and more.

“We are very excited to be able to provide our patients with the high level of personal care and counseling offered by GetWell pharmacy,” Sullivant said.

Sullivant is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of science in Pharmacy. She has been employed by Fred’s Pharmacy in Batesville since graduation. She has served as a preceptor for the University of Mississippi for over 15 years and holds American Pharmacist Association certificates in Medication Therapy Management, Immunizations, Travel Immunizations and Immunization Trainer.

She was an immunization trainer for Fred’s Pharmacy and received the Innovative Pharmacy Practice award for the state of Mississippi in 2009.

Gray is also a graduate of the University of. Mississippi with a doctor of pharmacy and has America Pharmacist Association certificates in Medication Therapy Management and Immunizations.

Joining Sullivant and Gray are familiar faces of former Fred’s Pharmacy technicians Scotty Spouse, Jessica Taylor and Gertie Morris.

The entire team can assist in transferring old Fred’s Pharmacy prescriptions or filling new ones to the new GetWell Pharmacy. GetWell is a growing chain of retail pharmacies operated by the Heritage Pharmacy Group headquartered in Germantown, Tenn.  Heritage operates local hometown pharmacies in communities across the Southeastern U.S. under a variety of names.

GetWell has opened, or will soon open, pharmacies in Senatobia, Hernando, and Olive Branch.
