Beth Anne Boehm

Beth Anne Boehm, 54, of Olive Branch, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 26, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.

Beth Anne was born May 6, 1964 to the late Robert M. Boehm Jr. and the late Elizabeth Ann Toney Boehm in Jackson. She was a self-taught pianist and of the Presbyterian Faith.

She was the niece of Tommy and Virginia Toney of Batesville.

Jerry Dale Clark

SENATOBIA – Jerry Dale Clark, 79, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven.

He was born October 12, 1938, in Tate County to the late Lucille Lewis and Herman Lee Clark.  He was a member of Hebron Methodist Church in the Wakefield community and was a board member of the Tate County Planning Commission.   He proudly served his country as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and retired from American Airlines after 36 years of employment.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 30, in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Rev. Carrie Mayo officiating.  Interment followed in New Garden Cemetery in Independence.  Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Fred “MC” Conley

SLEDGE – Fred “MC” Conley, 79, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at his residence.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary Inc. Chapel. Pastor Larry Cozart will officiate. Interment will follow in Longtown Memorial Cemetery in Longtown.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary, Inc.

He was born December 5, 1938 in Quitman County to the late Henry Conley and Willie Robinson. He was a retired farmer.

Earnest L. Hankins

ENID – Earnest L. Hankins, 74, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church on Pope-Crowder Road. Pastor William Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary Inc.

Hankins was born July 13, 1944 in Enid to the late Leroy Hankins Sr. and Fannie Mae Sayles Hankins.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church and a retired truck driver for Browning & Ferris, Inc.

Lee Ann Hart

Lee Ann Hart, retired casino worker, was born September 27, 1960 and died Aug. 22, 2018.

There are no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Muscular Sclerosis Society.

Merce C. Henderson

BATESVILLE – Merce C. Henderson, 65, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at New Bethlehem M. B. Church. Pastor Travis Willingham will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

He was born March 16, 1953 in Batesville, to the late Albert Jones and Louise Henderson.

Patricia Howard

Patricia Howard, 64, died Sunday, August 26 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven.

Patricia was born October 20, 1953 to the late Celestine Cain and Odis L. Dye in Batesville. During her lifetime she was a card dealer for a Casino in Tunica.

The family will hold a memorial service for Patricia at a later date. Wells Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Julius Eugene Hunt

COMO – Julius Eugene Hunt, 45, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Panola County.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. at Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater. Visitation is 9 a.m. before the service.

He was a warehouse worker and a member of Brothers of Destruction Club and a Mason.

Ethel Lee Moering

BATESVILLE – Ethel Lee Moering, 86, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh M. B. Church in Courtland. Pastor Carl Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in New Hope Church Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 1 at Cooley’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Moering was born July 21, 1932 in Courtland to the late Willie Avant and Macey Carr.

She was a member of Shiloh M.B. Church and a homemaker.

Ann Bell Stewart

Ann Bell Stewart, 74, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church in Batesville. Pastor Melvin Ellis will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Cooley’s Mortuary Saturday, Sept. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Stewart was born July 13, 1944, in Batesville to the late Wesley Chapman and Ella Qua Joiner Chapman.

Robert “Buddy” Watson V

MEMPHIS – Robert “Buddy” Franklin Watson V, 56, died Monday, August 27, 2018, at Methodist North Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Eureka United Methodist Church, Saturday, September 1. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time at Eureka United Methodist Church, 1486 Cosby Rd., Courtland.  Interment will be in the church cemetery. Bro. Dewayne Scoggins will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of Janice Jones and the late Robert Franklin Watson IV.

Bob “Buddy” graduated from Bartlett High School in 1980. He was a car salesman his whole life.
