Shirley Barnes Bledsoe
SARDIS – Shirley Barnes Bledsoe, 75, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at New Rock Hill M. B. Church in Sardis. Min. Ethel McKinney will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary and 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
She was born January 6, 1943 in Courtland to the late Willie Henry and Mary Armstrong.
She was a retired supervisor of the dietary department at Baptist East Hospital and a member of St. John M. B. Church.
Vicki Hannah Brown
BATESVILLE – Vicki Hannah Brown, 66, died at her home, Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
The family will hold a memorial gathering for Vicki from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.
Vicki was born October 29, 1951 to the late Luther Edwin Logan and Martha Bishop Logan in Memphis. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Sardis Church of Christ.
Fred Daniel
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. – Fred Daniel, 79, formerly of Como, died Friday, July 13, 2018, at Bailey Park Community Living Center in Humbolt.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21 at 2 p.m. at Braham Chapel Church in Sardis. Pastor Bobby Coney will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Cooley’s Mortuary Friday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
He was born April 27, 1939, in Como to the late Alberta Daniel and Gertrude Bethel Daniel. He was a construction worker/carpenter and member of Braham Chapel.
Betty Cochran Morrow
Betty Cochran Morrow, age 71, passed away Tuesday evening, July 17, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery.
Betty was born October 20, 1946 to the late Wallace V. Cochran and Mary Rose Beckworth Cochran in Batesville. Betty worked for 25 years for the Pope School District as Cafeteria Manager, a career that she enjoyed and eventually retired from. Betty was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. Betty loved to cook. She enjoyed playing Bingo, working crossword puzzles and relaxing watching TV.
The loving family she leaves behind include her two sons, Teddy Morrow (Allyson) and Tim Morrow (Ginger) both of Batesville; 1 sister, Barbara Cochran Locke (Charles) of Batesville; six grandchildren, Mary Jane Moore, Julianna Guckert, Isabella Morrow, Laken Morrow, Lilly Morrow, Landon Morrow; and one great grandchild, Sawyer Moore.
