Burglary suspect apprehended in woods near home

On March 13 Deputy Maurice Market was dispatched to Shiloh Rd. in reference to a burglary where the resident stated she saw two young men standing at the end of the driveway when she left the residence and upon returning home she noticed her door was open.
The resident stated she called her brother to come over and look at the residence. According to the report, the brother walked out of the woods with two individuals, one stating he caught the other one breaking into the residence.
The suspect was placed in custody and transported to the Panola County.
Deputy Mark Allen responded to a report of felony malicous mischief on Locke Station Rd. on March 16.
According to the report, the individual left his 2004 Chevy Tahoe on Locke Station Rd. after it began running hot.
According to the report, the individual returned approximately two hours later to find his vehicle had been spray painted, keyed, and the front two windows and windshield had been busted out.
A 10-year-old was charged with simple assault on Country Village Road.
The Panola County Sheriff’s Office received 20 calls for service during the week of March 12-16 requesting service from Panola County Deputies.
March 12
• Tocowa Rd., Courtland resident reported to Deputy Hunter Lawrence her husband vandalized her vehicle.
According to the report, the Mercury had been scratched from the front fender to the back passenger door and the front driver’s side tire was flat.
The resident reported her husband stated he was going to fix the damage.
March 13
• Deputy Josh Griffin responded to Greggory Taylor Rd. where an individual reported she was run off of the road by her ex-boyfriend.
Accoding to the report, the resident passed the suspect and the suspect turned around and drove up beside her attempting to run her off of the road and then shot a gun at her vehicle. Deputy Griffin was unable to locate any bullet holes in the vehicle.
• Senatobia resident reported to Investigator Danny Beavers two males came to another residence asking about him wanting to know where the resident lives, how many times he visits, what vehicle he drives and what route he takes to the residence.
The individual reported he was concerned the suspects may want to do him harm.
• Flowers Rd., Pope resident reported to Deputy Steven McLarty he wanted another resident out of his house after he discovered she was speaking to another individual on facebook.
The individual stated she was leaving, packed up her belongings and left.
• Chapman Rd. resident reported to Investigator Beavers she noticed the hood and both doors were scratched with an unknown metal object.
March 14
• Deputy Harold Lewis spoke to a Henry Heafner Rd., Sardis resident reported a crime that happened on February 13.
According to the report, the resident heard shots fired at his neighbor’s house and ran across the street to the residence and the neighbor pointed his gun at the resident.
The resident stated witnesses began screaming at him and the neighbor dropped the gun and ran into the house.
• Baker Rd. resident reported her boyfriend hit her in the face with a closed fist and also hit her in the head with scissors which cut the top of her head.
• Atkins St., Sardis resident reported to Deputy Lawrence his fish cooker was missing from his property.
Deputy Lewis spoke to an Oxford resident who reported an individual went into her residence and stole $476 in cash, a flat screen TV, clothes, diamond ring, cell phone, DVD player and tools on February 19.
The resident also reported on December 14 the individual took $280 off of her debit card and took $900 off the debit card on January 3.
According to the report, the resident received a new debit card and stated her daughter stole the new card and too $300 from it.
• Springport Rd. resident reported to Deputy Willie Harris her husband has been threatening her and has even made videos threatening her and posted them to facebook.
March 15
• Morrow Rd., Courtland resident reported she was crossing the railroad tracks on Shiloh Rd. and stated railroad spike was raised up higher than normal and caused her to have a blow out.
• Longtown Rd., Sarah resident reported to Deputy John Still he received a text message from his neighbor stating the resident’s horses were on the neighbor’s property and the neighbor threatened to kill them.
According to the report, the resident went to question the neighbor the suspect threatened to shoot him in the face.
March 16
• Investigator Beavers spoke to a Heafner Rd. resident who reported she and her sister got into an argument over a text message the resident sent to her mother stating she believes her sister’s boyfriend should move out.
According to the report, the sister came into the resident’s bedroom and starting hitting her in the back of the head.
Motor Vehicle Incident Report
• March 10, car wrecked and left the scene on Lucious Taylor Road.
• March 11, three vehicles were involved in parking lot accident on Atkins St.
• March 12, head on collision occured on Goodhope Rd. An injury was reported.
• March 12, private property accident occured on Katherine Trail.
