Runoff for Supreme Court Justice is today
Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a runoff election for Supreme Court Justice District 3, Position 1.
In the November 8 general election, candidates John Brady and Bobby Chamberlin were the top finishers among four candidates, but neither with a majority. They are seeking the seat held by Justice Ann Lamar who earlier announced her retirement and did not run for re-election.
Paper ballots will be used for this election, according to Kaye Smythe chairman of the Panola County Election Commission. All 24 precincts will be open, she said.
Brady is a lawyer from Columbus. Chamberlin, of Hernando, currently serves as a judge for the Seventeenth Judicial District of Mississippi.
