Warrants issued during court

Several warrants were issued after defendants failed to appear in Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.
Judge Jay Westfaul previously told Ronnie Lee Porter, 109 Lester St., Batesville, to report back for old fines of $1,576 due since July 2013. After his second time to fail to appear in court, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Charlie W. Armstrong, 203 Darby Rd., Courtland, had a warrant issued for his arrest after his second time to fail to answer charges for simple possession of marijuana, improper equipment, no driver’s license and no proof of insurance.
Daltrice L. Rudd, 3946-C Eureka Rd., Batesville, failed to appear to answer charges for disorderly conduct, driving while license suspended, no seat belt, no proof of insurance and old fines of $3,039.
Linda K. Gross, 1450 Union Rd., Sardis, had a warrant issued for her arrest after the second time to fail to appear to answer charges for shopliting from Sears.
Gilbert McThunel, 200-A Vance, Batesville, was bound over to circuit court for uttering forgery charges.
Devante Pitchford, 214 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, bonded out before court and was referred to circuit court for felony possession of controlled substance, improper equipment and no driver’s license.
Shaquille M. Simmons, 220 Flowers Rd., Pope, entered a guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana and improper equipment. He was fined $598.
Mark T. Wheatly, 799 Belmont, Sardis, was given time served for the days he spent in jail for old fines of $427 due since January 1999.
Wheatly is also serving five years for MDOC.
Wheatley was previously told to have his fines paid in full or serve 60 days in jail.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Kendrick D. Flowers, 204 Claude St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence-simple. He was fined $417.
Flowers had old fines of $1,187.50 due since October 2013. The case was continued for a week.
Michael E. McGee, 305 Hightower St., Sardis, had old fines of $1,146 due since November 2015.
Anthony Stanton, 220 Gay St., Batesville, had a charge for dog running at large, dismissed after the affiant, Robert Collier failed to appear to prosecute.
Heather Cox, 309 Eureka St., Batesville, was fined $417 after she was found guilty of domestic violence-simple assault.
