State Farm had faced Family Pet a couple of times this season and won handily both times. This time Family Pet pushed back to win on a walk off run.

State Farm head coach Kenneth Bright, who happens to be the oldest coach at the park, was baffled about how his team played that championship game.

“I don’t know what was wrong with us,” Bright said. “We just didn’t hit or get the outs.”

Family Pet showed a lot of stamina throughout the long Thursday evening, having to play two prior games to get to the championship.

In the first game Thursday, Family Pet defeated Batesville Vision 11-2.

In game two, State Farm defeated Medicap 12-7 to earn its spot in the championship game.

To earn a try for the championship, Family Pet downed Crumpler Construction 12-2.

Playing for Family Pet were team members Kyzer Roberson, Canaan Scates, John Roger Alewine, John Brody Wilson, Kyson Jenkins, Bowen West, Evan Unrush, Noah Albritton and Tanner Locke.

Playing for Ray Poole State Farm were Miles Roberts, Dawson Golden, Anson Bright, Easton Lightsey, Micah Roberts, Dante Stutts, Houston Morris, Cameron Thomason, Austin Ragon and Kage Waldo.
