The North Delta  basketball team’s opening trip to the MAIS North AAA State tournament briefly came to a disappointing end as the Lady Green Wave fell 58-56 to Riverfield, La. in overtime Monday at Indianola.
 Ally Alford paced North Delta (16-9) with 14 points with Sarah Johnson and Faith Bollinger chipping in with 12 points each. Megan Bollinger supplied seven points while Mary Emily Morris accounting for six. Hannah Bollinger and Ginger Stephens ended with three and two points apiece.
