Among the 50 people in the April Pan Gens audience were three ladies who descended from the Bell family. Teresa Burns Boucher (from left), Marie Beard and Joyce Lenhardt stand with author Pat Fitzhugh. Pan Gens, the Panola Genealogical and Historical Society meets monthly. Anyone interested in genealogy or Panola history is welcome.

Several members of the audience noticed that throughout Fitzhugh’s program, the eyes on the drawing behind him appeared to follow him as he moved about the room. The drawing was one of many lining the meeting room walls, student art on display from the Batesville Woman’s Club’s Pennies for Art project.
