Judge Bill McKenzie referred two defendants to the Grand Jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.
Christina D. Howie, 804 Hwy. 7 South, Oxford, was referred to the Grand Jury for burglary, petit larceny, shoplifting-second and possession of paraphernalia.
Dustin W. Hardenburgh, 450 Clay Rd., Grenada, was referred to the Grand Jury for burglary, petit larceny, shoplifting-second, possession of paraphernalia and false pretense.
Kristian T. Pitcock, 204 Moore Dr., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to a dog leash ordinance. She was fined $25.
Ladarius C. Harris, 202-B Lester St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to simple possession of controlled substance. He was fined $428.
Melissa J. Babinski, 207 Eureka St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault. She was fined $402.
A trial was set for October 8 for Stephen T. Hand, Enid Shores, after he entered a not guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault.
Jon Gooch, 1134 CR 96, New Albany, entered a not guilty plea to shoplifting from Walmart. A trial was set for October 15.
Latasha L. McCarty, 695 Perkins Ave., Crowder, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting from Walmart. She was fined $1,131.
Jeremy T. Morton, 206 Pearson, Batesville, entered the city’s work release program for 20 days in lieu of paying $1,131 for shoplifting-second.
Hannah McCullar, 20 Corbin Rd., Lambert, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting and simple possession of controlled substance and was fined $1,558.
Armistead Creasy, 401 Willow Oak Dr., Roanoke, Va., had a DUI-other, following too close and possession of paraphernalia case continued.
Laneshia Holmes, 204 Lester, Batesville, entered the city’s work program for 44 days in lieu of paying $2,512 in old fines that have been due since August 2013.
La’Quincy Addison, 535 Johnson Cove, Lambert, told the judge he would have his old fines of $386.25 paid in full by Friday. His old fines have been due since November 2010.
Jonathan L. Lewis, 91 CR 102, Oxford had a case continued for a driving on a suspended license.
