Bobbie Nell Tutor Pettit
LAMBERT-Bobbie Nell Tutor Pettit, 81, died Friday, June 13, 2014, in Oxford.
Services were held Sunday at Kimbro Funeral Home. Burial was in Marks Cemetery.
Pettit was a homemaker and a member of Robbs Baptist Church in Pontotoc.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Cordell.
Survivors include: her husband, Dossie Pettit of Lambert, daughters, Cathy Pettit of Batesville, Kaye Pettit Carpenter of Charleston; sons RickPettit of Oxford; Duane Pettit of Crowder; Mike Pettit of Crowder, Steve Pettit of Batesville; sisters Pat Baker of Courtland and Ruby Jean Oswalt of Pontotoc; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

James Savage
BATESVILLE–James “Gig” Savage, 56, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held today from noon until service time. Rev. Larry Kilgore will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Savage, born May 7, 1958, in Memphis, to the late Joseph Richard and Charlene Bishop Savage, was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamelia Brown Savage.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jacquelyn Savage Pouncy of Enid, Jamie Savage Helmes of Pope and Jody Savage Smith of Lambert; four sisters, Donna Savage Harris of Oakland, Dottie Savage Laster and Tracey Savage Willyard, both of Ft. Payne, Ala., Johnna Savage Ashmore of Courtland; two brothers, Joe Savage of Sommerville, Tenn. and Richard “Bo” Savage of Rossville, Tenn. and eight grandchildren.
Lizzie Ellen Sykes
LAMBERT-Lizzie Ellen Sykes, 71, died Wednesday, June 11 at the Tri-Lake Medical Center.
Services were held Saturday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Batesville. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery. Delta Burial Corporation had charge.
Survivors include: two sons Kenneth Sykes of Olive Branch and Patrick Sykes of Batesville and one sister, Rosa Jones of Batesville.
