Police video clears driver of traffic charge in city court

By Emily D. Williams
Video footage reviewed by Judge Bill McKenzie in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday saved a defendant from having a “no turn signal” fine.

Jason Flowers, 234-C MLK, Batesville, was found not guilty of failing to use a turn signal.
Judge Bill McKenzie listened to testimony from both Flowers and Officer Jon Horton.
After reviewing video evidence several times the judge found the defendant not guilty and dismissed the case.

Shashonna E. Spikes, 428 Callie Norwood, Sardis, bonded out prior to court and was referred to the grand jury for grand larceny.
