“Only a rising sophomore, Connor looked seasoned with regards to his frame and athleticism. He’s all of 5-10, 185 and showed plus athleticism, particularly in explosive drills like standing broad jump. He’ll be a name to watch in the class of 2016,” Simmons wrote.

As a continuation of the camp on Friday, North Panola participated in the Ole Miss 7-on-7 tournament, the Hugh Freeze Shootout.

A total of 20 teams participated including Olive Branch, Water Valley, Desoto Central, Holly Springs and Clarksdale. Also attending was Magee High School with Ed Stanley as head coach. Stanley is a former South Panola head coach.

With his team from Pillow Academy was Michael Fair, South Panola former assistant coach.
North Panola played Madison-Ridgeland Academy in the first game and Jonesboro in the second game. Other games included Water Valley, Olive Branch and Clarksdale.

The Cougars got to see how newcomer Kevin Wink of Senatobia fit in with the scheme. Wink brought down a few catches from quarterback Jatavious Farmer that were touchdowns.
Also at receiving were Willie Hibbler, who received an offer from Ole Miss and Lucius Walls.
