The Finch-Henry Job Corps Center is being joined by the City of Batesville, S.T.O.P., Let’s Talk It Out, the Panola County Sheriff’s Department and the Batesville Police Department to sponsor a walk and health fair Saturday with emphasis on prevention of bullying.
The event will be held at Trussell Park beginning with registration at 9 a.m.
Entitled “Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying,” the day will also include a health fair, snacks and activities.
Coordinator Gwendolyn Hayes wants to make it clear that all are invited to participate.
“We want people in wheel chairs to feel welcome,” she said.
A three-mile run or 1.5 mile fun walk/roll will begin at 10.
The event is planned in observance of National Bullying Prevention Month.
