Pro Fastpitch at SP

When the National Pro Fastpitch “Back to School Tour” comes to Batesville on Sunday to play the Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs, Olympic silver medalist Caitlin Lowe will be playing.
With the game at 2 p.m. on the South Panola Lady Tigers’ field, Lowe will be among a list of others including Ashley Charters, Charlotte Morgan, Jamee Juarez, Kelly Cretschman, Jenn Salling, Nikia Williams, Andrea Duran, Kristyn Sandberg, Brittany Mack, Angel Bunner, Angeline Quiocho and GiOnna DiSalvatore.
After the game, a clinic will be held for 100 girls by both the Pro Fastpitch team and the Lady Bulldogs for one and a half hours.
In 2006 Lowe became the youngest member of the 2006 World Champion Team. She won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in 2007. Lowe was the two-time World Cup Champion in 2006 and 2007 and World Champion in 2006.
Lowe won the Olympic silver medalist in 2008 in Beijing China. She recorded the first ever inside the park home run in Olympic history on August 12, 2008. The USA won 11-0 over Venezuela.
While playing at Arizona she was a two-time National Champion in 2006 and 2007, four-time NFCA All-American (2004-2007), two-time top three finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year (2005 and 2007), two-time top 10 finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year (2005 and 2006) and two-time member of All-Women’s College World Series in 2006 and 2007.
Lowe is in her fourth season with the USSA Pride.
Admission to the game is $5 and $10 for admission and to participate in the clinic.
