Citizen plans meeting with supervisors about blight

I believe Panola County is a beautiful place to live. I have been here for 22 years, but our county has been blighted by some land owners who abandon burned-out trailers and houses, junk vehicles and appliances and leave trash, garbage and other kinds of filth behind.

Shame on them!

And I am ashamed of the way that I have turned a blind eye to this for so long.

But I am willing to do all that I can to make our county one in which we can take pride.

I am on the agenda to address the Panola County Board of Supervisors on the second Monday in August which is August 13, at 9:15 a.m.

I am doing this for my family, my friends and every resident of Panola County. I believe this will also cut down on the crime and drug problems.

Let’s show them we care.

The meeting is to be held at the courthouse in Batesville.

Please attend if at all possible. Thank you and may God bless each and every home.

Sincerely,

Joyce M. Perry
