The speech and debate team at South Panola High (from left) Grace Guntharp, Noah Guntharp, Serenity Jones, Gage Lambert, Marianne McGraw and Erin Hopper competed at the Stennis Novice Tournament on September 9 and 10 at Mississippi State. The team, all sophomores, came away with some awards: Hopper and McGraw were quarter finalists in the “Public Forum Debate,” and Lambert was a semi-finalist in “TV Commentary.” The debate team is readying for its second competition, which is Saturday at the U
