Cougars fall to Lewisburg

A week off and some roster changes did not result in any points for the North Panola Cougars Friday against Lewisburg.

The Cougars lost 38-0, the same score as two weeks before to Tunica Rosa Fort.

Four players went down to injury during the game, but only one returned after a couple of plays.

One of the biggest losses in the game was to starting linebacker Tony Hibbler, who sustained a concussion in the second quarter and was unable to return. Fred Kimmons went down with a knee injury. Jerrick Gordon also sustained a leg injury. Willie Hibbler was winded on a play in the fourth quarter but was able to return.

The season will not get any easier for the Cougars as they travel to 6A Desoto Central (3-0) Friday night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
