The South Panola Lady Tiger slowpitch softball team advanced to the second round of play by defeating Clinton the last two games of the three game series.
Clinton won the first game 10-8 on Tuesday. Rain postponed the final two games until Thursday night. Thursday, South Panola won 3-0 and in extra innings in the third game 11-6.
Christa Brown pitched the three complete games for the Lady Tigers.
Meri Morgan Fortune had the hot bat for the Lady Tigers hitting a homerun, two doubles, two singles and three RBIs.
The second round of playoffs are set to be played at Lady Tiger field on Satuday, October 10 at 2 p.m. If the games are postponed due to rain, they will be played Monday at 2 p.m. against Brandon.
