Former South Panola Tiger and Ole Miss Rebel Jamarca Sanford has signed with the Minnesota Vikings and will compete for a spot on special teams and backup safety according to published reports.

Sanford was a seventh-round pick in the recent NFL draft starting in all 44 games he played at Ole Miss.

Sanford earned SEC defensive player of the week honors after he had 11 tackles  of eventual national champions Florida Gators.
