Arena Football League looking for local players

Due to the persistence and undying devotion of former South Panola Tiger Malikia Griffin, the MVP Football Conference is bringing arena football to Batesville.

Not only are three games booked at the Batesville Civic Center, the Mississippi X-Raz, with Griffin as head coach, are looking for football players from the Panola County area to play.

The first registration for players, cheerleaders, dancers and volunteers will be held Saturday at the Batesville Holiday Inn beginning at 11 a.m.

Only participants over 18 need apply for this free registration.
