The Panolian to publish book for State Championship Fastpitch team

Normally, The Panolian would produce a special section celebrating the achievements and feats of the South Panola Fastpitch Softball 5A State Shampions.

This year The Panolian sports staff is pleased to announce a book commemorating the achievements of the South Panola fastpitch softball team will be published and available in June.

Though plans for the book’s contents are not finalized, the eight seniors on this year’s state championship fastpitch softball team will be the main focus.

Photos from the last two seasons will make up the bulk of the book, which will also be 60 pages. It will also be a hardbound book with color photographs.

“These girl athletes have made amazing strides the last two years to  bring home the state championship,” said sports editor Myra Bean. “They have done their part. Now it is time for me to do my part and get them as much recognition for their efforts as possible.

“I realize we are stepping out on a limb doing another book so close, but I feel the players deserve this high quality product to tell their story for years to come,” Bean continued. “I hope the community will do what it has always done, reach out and support these girls one more time.”

The books are $29.97 plus tax for a total of $32.07.

Books may be ordered at The Panolian office or online at www.panolian.com through Paypal. At the office pay by cash, check, money order or credit card.

The book commemorating the amazing streak of the South Panola football team is completed and printed and available for pick up in the office.

Deadline for ordering books is Wednesday, June 4. They should be back around June 27.
