Christian life begins only when old man put off, according to reader

I would like to ask you. Are you living a Christian life that is pleasing to God? I know that I’m not perfect and nor is anyone else, but we must try to live as Jesus so we can make it to Heaven. There is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ and living a Holy life style here on earth.

Colossians 3:5 says: “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleaness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence and covetousness, which is idolatry.

“For which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.

“In which ye also walked sometime, when ye lived in them.

“But now you also put off all these, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.

“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.”

If we are not following these words, how can we say we are Christians? We all must follow these words and mold them in our hearts and minds in order to see Heaven. Hell is real and we all can not afford to ignore Gods word. Think this over. If you fit in the category, ask Jesus to forgive you and follow his word and you will be showing his image to the world. That’s what he wants us all to do.
