Tigers Down Strong Greenville Team;
End Regular Season 11-0

South Panola defensive back Richard Mitchell brought down this Greenville receiver Friday night in the Tigers 35-14 win. The Tigers will host Forest Hill in the first round of playoffs Friday, Nov. 15.

GREENVILLE – After handing Greenville-Weston a 35-14 loss, the South Panola Tigers finished the season as they started, undefeated.

The 11-0 Tigers sit at the No. 1 spot in the state as they prepare to host 2-5A Forest Hill Friday, November 15 in the first playoff game of the season. Forest Hill (4-7) upset Callaway (5-6), 17-13, Friday night to sneak into the No. 4 spot in 2-5A.

Horn Lake knocked off Southaven 27-24 and claimed the No. 3 spot in 1-5A. Both will play on the road Friday night. Horn Lake will be in Vicksburg and Southaven in Clinton. Starkville, No. 2 in 1-5A after narrowly defeating Columbus 9-7, will be home to host Warren Central.

Tickets for the game are $7 and no reserved tickets are available for playoff games. Tickets will go on sale at the school Thursday and Friday during school hours 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The ticket booth and stadium will open Friday night at 5:30 p.m.

To Play Rematch with Marshall for N. Half

The North Delta Green Wave team advanced one more level to the North State Championship game by defeating Manchester Academy 35-14 on Friday, November 8.

It was a windy night and many excited fans on both sides of the field.

Manchester won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball.

Collins Bryant did not waste any time setting the tone for the evening when he ran the ball for 68 yards to the endzone with 8:37 left in the first quarter on the first offensive play of the game for North Delta.

The Green Wave led 7-0 after Dallas Allgood kicked the extra point.
